For women, femmes, and anyone else disentangling from addiction (either to substances, or to the indoctrination of patriarchy, whiteness, & capitalism), our recovery is about reclamation. 

We are no longer looking to give ourselves over to outside, patriarch-coded authorities… whether they be God, our fathers, our husbands, or the State itself. 

That is what led us into addiction in the first place. 

We are looking to take ourselves back.
